Darryl Wayne Bierman, 64, of Medora, IL, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, surrounded by his family at his lifelong home.
He was born on August 29, 1960, in Carlinville, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Frances “Billie” (Garrison) Bierman.
Darryl was a farmer, Chesterfield township road commissioner, and spent years hauling livestock 7 days a week. He enjoyed all his cattle, peacocks, emu, and the baby deer he raised. He loved socializing and playing cards with many friends and family. He could always be seen out and about wearing his “NO BAR TOO FAR” hat.
He is survived by two daughters Jennifer (Michael) Draper of Beardstown, IL, Kathie (Dillion) Umphryes of Meredosia, IL, and their mother Debra Bierman of Elsah, IL; seven grandchildren Gabriela, Paisley, Kallie, Bellamie, and Brenlie, Alexis, Andrew; three sisters Donella Eichen, Lolita Alward, and Phillis Bierman; three brothers Joe “Butch” (Jane) Bierman, Robert Bierman, and Charlie (Linda) Bierman; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald Bierman; brothers in law Ray Eichen and Jack Alward; sisters in law Dorothy Bierman and Margaret Bierman; nephew Gregory Bierman.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, IL.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
