Marilyn Daniels

Marilyn J. Daniels, 85, died at 6:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Kane, Illinois on November 9, 1939, and was the daughter of Kenneth C. and Garnet (Smith) Berry.

Marilyn graduated from Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville, and attended Shurtleff College in Alton. During her lifetime, she held various occupations, retiring from as a receptionist from CW Auto Glass in Godfrey. Her main focus on life however, was that of a loving Wife, Mom and Grandma.

She married August Norman Daniels on June 21, 1958 at the Kane Baptist Church, and together they have been blessed with 67 years of marriage, and the joys of raising their family.

Surviving are her husband, Norman Daniels of Carrollton; four children and their spouses, Patricia and Bryan Anderson of O'Fallon, Dianne Vincent of Roodhouse, Carolyn Daniels of Carrollton, and Bill Daniels and Susan Davis of Alton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Scott Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Cailin and Stephen Davis, Cullen Daniels, Meredith Vincent, and her companion, Tatum Fenton, and Nicholas Vincent; four great grandchildren, Kyrie, Nadia, Owen & Isabel; a sister, Carole Terpening of Carrollton; and a brother and sister in-law, Paul Thomas and Mary Berry of Jerseyville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in-law, Richard Vincent; a sister and brother in-law, Doris Elaine and William Moreland; a brother and sister in-law, Larry K. and Joyce Berry; and a brother in-law, James Terpening.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2025  at Kane Baptist Church with Frank DeWitt officiating.

Burial will be in the Kane Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Kane Baptist Church where she was a longtime member.
