Patrick William Trout, 63, of Alton, IL, passed away Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at Barnes Jewish hospital St. Louis, MO. Patrick was born February 7th 1962 in Alton, IL to Ronald William Trout and Georgia Jane Trout (Weigler).
Allison Delahanty, Patrick’s partner of three years, was by his side.
Patrick was a successful contractor, builder and carpenter throughout his life. Patrick and his friend and business partner, Paul Yost, established Tycon Builders in 1985. After leaving Tycon, Patrick continued to work as a general contractor.
Patrick was an excellent cook and baker. He loved to show off his talents by making special dishes and desserts for his friends.
Pat was a true Deadhead. He traveled all over the country, attending at least 93 Grateful Dead concerts.
Patrick will be missed by all that knew him. He had a larger than life laugh and a smile that was contagious. Those who were fortunate enough to share their life with him will be forever inspired by his ability to listen without judgment, to share feelings of empathy and offer words of kindness when someone needed them. He would often say “I got you” when comforting a friend.
A celebration of life for Patrick will be held at the Alton Wood River Sportsman’s Club trap house on Friday, May 16th, 2025 at 2:00. Please feel free to bring anecdotes, stories and pictures to share.
