Cadence Eileen Prince, age 17, of O’Fallon, Ill., was born November 24, 2007 in La Jolla, Calif. She was sadly and abruptly taken from us on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025.
Eileen, as she preferred to be called, was an amazing and talented young woman. She spent hours watching YouTube videos and practicing her makeup techniques. Eileen loved video games, and would play with her entire family. Recently joining her sister, Mom, and step dad in so many Roblox adventures, with hours full of laughter. She really loved to draw, she was a natural artist. She was into making jewelry and would pass out bracelets she made to friends and family. Eileen often watched anime, and was a huge fan of all things Japan, she loved to cook and her Mom would always find her making Ramen in the kitchen. She loved exploring abandoned places and would look into places that might be haunted just because she thought they were neat. Also, Eileen loved animals, spending time playing with her 2 dogs and her cats were always important to her, she took pictures of all of them on a very regular basis.
Not long ago her Dad bought her a record player and she's been collecting so many albums. She had a very diverse taste in music; she rocked artists like Korn, Nirvana, Sleep Token, Taylor Swift, and Melanie Martinez to name a few. She loved the beauty around her, she thoroughly enjoyed the beach while growing up in California and when she would fly to visit her Dad, Grandma Virginia, and family in California, she always collected shells and had a blast visiting her Uncles and Aunt.
She would spend her quiet time at one of her favorite local parks reading many books, drawing, exploring nature and all the adventure that comes with being outdoors. Eileen loved birds, flowers, and picking up bugs or frogs to show her Mom and sister Eleanor. She was the best buddy and a huge role model to her little sister Eleanor, and was fortunate to be surrounded by bonus siblings. Eileen was just planning a trip to drive her sister to the St. Louis Zoo, and had been happy to help take her to appointments or working with her step Dad Dusty to pick up her Mom's surprise birthday cake. She worked hard at learning to drive in Illinois with her step dad and was loving her new-found freedom with her car and license.
She was blossoming into the most beautiful young woman, she was absolutely always genuine and kind, a joker that loved to make people smile. Intuitive and thoughtful, she would stop random people who she thought looked cute or neat to her just to give them a compliment. She was sometimes shy but when she got to know you, she was goofy and so much fun. She loved hard. There is no way to fully describe every amazing thing about Cadence Eileen in one page, but, if you knew her, you know just how special she was.
