Mary Cathrine Dixon, 75, of Alton, passed away early Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, surrounded by family at a St. Louis area hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1950, in Alton, the daughter of the late “Big” Tony and Lilly (Michelon) of Main Street. Mary married Tom “Twiggy” Dixon of Alton, on June 22, 1968.
Mary was primarily a home maker but held many different jobs throughout her life. She lived life to help family and friends and was a mentor to many who were in search of guidance, a dedicated and amazing wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother and great-grandmother, an aunt, and a friend to everyone she met.
Mary is survived by her husband, Tom; brother, John Michelon; two sons, T. Mike (Lindy) Dixon of Bethalto and Brian Dixon of Alton; four grandchildren, Nicole McEuen, McKenzie Dixon, Michael Dixon, and Jacob Dixon; and a very special niece Michele Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Tony Michelon of Alton, and Frank Kelly of Biloxi, Mississippi.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
