Linda D. Leonard, 75, of Roxana, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in Hillsboro, WI, on February 4, 1950, the daughter of Raymond E. and Willie P. (Rice) Dyar. She married John B. Leonard on December 7, 1971, at Ft. Campbell, KY. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2021.
Linda is a United States Army Veteran. She was a member of the Edwardsville General Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially playing with her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone.
She is survived by her children, Roslyn (Jamie) Rushton of Hartford, Shelly (Tim) Stalhut of Roxana, and John (Jennifer) Leonard, II of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Jacqui (Hudson) Nilhas, Lynzi Stalhut, Dalton Stalhut, Rebecca Leonard, Isabellah Leonard, Dylan Leonard, Trey Leonard, Tristan Leonard, Alexis Leonard, and Sabrina Leonard; great-grandchildren, Una Faye, Hunter, Orion, Zoey, Shelby, Timothy, and Silas; a brother, Keith Dyar of Fon du Lac, WI; two nieces and a nephew, Michelle Meyer, Sara Meyer, and Nick Meyer.
Along with her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate. Inurnment will be on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at 10:30 am.
