Timothy Joseph Croxton, 66, died at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2025, at his home in Wood River. Born October 2, 1958, in Alton, he was the son of Ruth A. (Terlisner) Croxton of Alton and the late Roland “Buzz” Croxton. Mr. Croxton retired as a supervisor for Phillips 66. On June 24, 1977, he married the former Christine Funkhouser in Alton. She survives.
Along with his mother and wife, he is survived by his children, Elizabeth Zangori (Sam) of Bethalto, Gregory Croxton (Kellie) of Granite City, and Titus Croxton (Ariel) of Wood River, 10 grandchildren, Ash Croxton, Abbi Zangori, Lukus Zangori, Freddie Croxton, Eloise Croxton, Lucy Croxton, Violet Croxton, Rubi Shook, Amelia Croxton, and Ozzy Croxton. Also surviving are three brothers, Thom Croxton (Kathy) of Alton, Bill Croxton (Mary Saale) of Hillsboro, MO, Pat Croxton (Adriane) of Godfrey, one sister, Cathy Blevens (Rick) of Grafton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, T. Michael Croxton. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in Roxana. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorial donations to be given for a memorial bench at Belk Park in memory of Tim. Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
