Theodore DeNardo

Godfrey 04/19/2026

Theodore “Ted” or “Teddy” Anthony DeNardo III, 61, passed away on April 19, 2026, at his home in Godfrey, Illinois. He was born December 5, 1964, in Washington D.C. and was the son of Theodore Anthony DeNardo II and Judy (Lane) DeNardo.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. After being honorably discharged from the military, he became a master electrician and eventually met Kelly, whom he lovingly referred to as “my lovely bride” all throughout their 27 years of marriage.

Ted was a man that always tipped well, helped anyone that asked to a fault, could give you an often unprompted, history lesson of every building in the St. Louis and Madison County area, and cooked a mean pepperloin that would “make a rabbit slap a hound” (his words). He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, loyal brother, and he will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Anthony DeNardo II. Ted is survived by his mother, Judy, his sister, Christine (Alex), his wife of 27 years, Kelly, his children, Katie, Tyrone, Alex (Jodie), Kaleigh, and Isabella, his grandson, Kaiden, and four nephews, Julian, Juan Jose, Alexito, and Allan.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at one of Ted’s favorite places, Mac’s, at 315 Belle Street, Alton, IL on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks, in honor of his father, memorials be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
