Roseann Otillia Agnew, nee Mellein, 88, of Lenexa, KS, born October 6, 1937, in New Memphis, IL, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Silvercrest at College View Senior Living, Lenexa, KS.
Roseann worked as a budget analyst for Scott Air Force Base until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Cathedral and served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Minister of Care. She was also a member of Scott Team Investment Club, active in the Gateway Garden Railroad Club, and a YMCA member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert A. and Verene R., nee Haas, Mellein; a brother, Craig Mellein; and two sisters, Joan Kirchoff and Patricia Sibert.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James A. Agnew, whom she married on December 30, 1961; a daughter, Barbara (Steven) Shepard; a son, James (Melissa) A. Agnew, Jr.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Herbert (Carolyn) Mellein, Charles (Mary) Mellein, and Loring Mellein; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. James Buerster officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
