Shaquon Howard

Saint Louis 05/30/2026

Shaquon George Howard continues to be celebrated each day since November 5, 1985. For many people he will always be our Bud, Uncle Bud, Quon, or SG. Born in St. Louis, MO to Dorice and George Howard, the baby brother of four siblings to his parents, and he was everyone’s favorite, especially his mother.

At age 40, just a few months ago, his beautiful wife, Chi, ensured that he had a joyful birthday celebration, filled with great food, friends, and family. Bud/Uncle Bud/Quon/SG has lived his life to the fullest. As a child, his siblings can attest to his ingenuity, curiosity, and unique ways to make people laugh out loud. Many of Quon’s gestures occurred at Normandy Senior High School, where he graduated in 2004. He had a nearly 20-year career in the IT industry and held multiple roles that required excellent customer service and a knack for finding creative solutions to IT problems. In 2024, he started his own IT consulting company, StrategiK Blue Entreprises. He will always be the family photographer, “computer fixer” for the non-tech family members, and the tribal comedian/family jokester. Most recently, he worked at Cannon Design as a System Administrator.

Quon/Bud enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, watching movies, playing games, traveling, and making people laugh. Uncle Bud/G-Pop loves spoiling his nieces, nephew, and Godchildren with toys, candy, and expensive adventures like the aquarium, $20 ice cream, lots of bubbles, and the newest technology, no matter their age.

July 27, 2019, was a perfect day! He married Chianti (“Chi”) Howard in St. Louis, MO, officiated by Shewanee Howard-Baptiste, Quon’s oldest (big) sister. Their love will always start with a couple of forevers and will never end.

Shaquon’s & Chi’s love is a timeless love story. This is likely the greatest accomplishment in his life. Their marriage represents the truest commitment to sacrifice, dedication, unconditional love, and devotion.

Most people never knew that he suffered from Sickle-Cell Disease because he fought through daily pain with a spirit of courage, always making other people’s joy at the center of his day once he woke up! You all know Shaquon is not a morning person.

While one page could never summarize his life, his accomplishments or the impact he will have on everyone in this room, everyone should know that the world, this world, our world will never be the same without him. What made Bud/Uncle Bud/Quon special? Everything!

There will be so many people who will cherish him every moment, but just to name his few are his wife, Chianti “Chi” Howard, his mom-Dorice Howard, big brother-Shewan Howard, and big sisters Shewanee Howard-Baptiste (Moise Baptiste) and Shanee Haynes (Kelvin Haynes), in addition to his nieces- Alexis and Atlyss Haynes and nephew AJ Haynes, cousins, Shaun, Dawn, Paris, Lau, and Kayla. Auntie Ann, Auntie Kim, Uncle Luster, and a host of other uncles, aunts, and cousins, Mother-in-law, Gina Young, father-in-law, Robert Holmes, aunt-in-law/love, Lee Young, sister-in-law, Angel Young, niece-in-law, Taylor Jackson. His multiple Godchildren (Khloe, Layla, Messiah, Cairo, and Jeremiah) and so many best-friends and friends that have come to adore Quon.

Preceding Quon’s transition are his eldest niece, Alexis Eva Haynes and his father, George Howard.

Our “Bud” will ALWAYS BE THE LIGHT TO OUR HUMANITY!
