Harold Gregory Riggins, affectionately known to many as "Moonman," passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at the age of 74.
A proud and dedicated veteran, Greg served his country in the Vietnam War and remained an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Following his military service, he dedicated 30 years of hard work to the Laclede Steel Mill. In his later years, he continued to serve his community through roles in groundskeeping and lake patrol.
Greg was an outdoorsman at heart who found great joy in nature. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, sharing his passion and skills with those around him. He also left a lasting impact on youth in his community through his dedicated service as a wrestling coach.
Above all, Greg deeply cherished his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine Sue; his parents; his brother; and two of his grandchildren.
His legacy of love, strength, and dedication lives on through his surviving family, including:

- Six grandchildren
- Seven great-grandchildren
