Janet Frasher

Lebanon 07/11/2026

Janet Lynn Frasher, 59 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends on July 11, 2026. She faced the hardest battle of her life like a warrior, never giving up after being diagnosed with lung cancer over 5 years ago.

She lived a remarkable life alongside her husband, Chuck, and they raised wonderful children, made amazing friends and traveled the world. She was a connector; always bringing people together and providing an opportunity for building friendships and providing service to others.

She was proud to be part of OTHS Class of 1985, the “last really cool class” to go there. She graduated from SIUE before finding her niche with Edward Jones. As a successful financial advisor with Edward Jones, she helped to fulfill the retirement dreams of countless clients. She loved to play tennis, joined many leagues and had so much fun hanging out with her friends at St Clair Tennis and Sybergs. She enjoyed pickleball at the YMCA.

Her passion project was contributing to the amazing work done by Karla Smith Behavioral Health (KSBH), and served as Board President to help carry on the vision of the organization until her health condition required her to step down.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Charles Frasher; brother, Craig (Dawn) McSavaney; daughter, Kayla (Abby) Hagemann-Burnett; son, Aiden Frasher; mother-in-law Joyce (Mike) Hagemann; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beth McSavaney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the newly relocated KSBH Farm Campus, located at 4204 Frank Scott Parkway West, in Belleville, Ill., beginning at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2026.
