With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mattie Price, who departed this life on July 30, 2026, at the age of 73. Mattie was born on January 24, 1953, and spent her life devoted to her family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mattie was known for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and generous heart. She had an incredible ability to make people laugh, even during difficult times. She never hesitated to help someone in need, often giving what she had without expecting anything in return. Her kindness, strength, and selfless spirit left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched.
She leaves behind her loving children: Jerry Price and his wife, Erica Price; Loretta Snyder, widow of the late Berry Snyder; Nancy Ann Price; David Price and his wife, Susie Price; and Martha Price.
Mattie was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
She was preceded in death by her beloved great-grandchildren, Wanda Lynn Snyder, Damar Hutson, and Shiloh Snyder, whose memories she carried closely in her heart.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on through the family she adored and the countless lives she touched. Mattie will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Her legacy is one of love, generosity, resilience, and laughter—a legacy that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Service
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mattie's life at a memorial service on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Cottage Hills VFW. All who knew and loved Mattie are welcome to attend as we gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the love and laughter she brought to so many.
