Brandy Lee Stonecipher, 53, of Wood River, IL passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Nexus (Bria) of Wood River in Wood River, IL.

She was born on January 24, 1973 in Granite City, IL to David Slover and Sheri (nee:  Franko) Creekmore.

Brandy married John Stonecipher in Alton, IL on September 14, 2013.

The loving wife, mother and daughter enjoyed spending time with her family, especially Christmas, Halloween and all the holidays. Brandy was a NASCAR fan who was known by Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and close family friend, Justin Allgaier. She enjoyed the band, Borderline and songs from the 50’s & 60’s, the oldies but goodies. Brandy attended the Bethalto Church of God.

She enjoyed camping and had a special friend, RC, who made her smile as he revved his motorcycle engine. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her brother and brother in law race their cars on local dirt tracks.

Besides her husband, Brandy is survived by her parents;  2 daughters:  Kirstin (Jake) Jackman and Nicole Stonecipher; 2 grandchildren: Emileigh Sherrill and Gunnar Jackman; her step father, Gil Creekmore; a brother, Bryan “Wildchild” (Connie) Slover; a step brother, Jeff (Brenda) Creekmore and a step sister, Melissa (Matt) Batchelor. Also surviving are bother in laws: Ray (Pam) Stonceipher and Steve Stonecipher; sister in laws: Genia Mitchell, Candy (Wayne) Hall, Sue Stonecipher and Barb Stonecipher and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Brandy is preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Franko; grandmother, Rose (Shelton) Schrader; great grandparents: Otis & Nellie Alger; aunt, Cheryl Franko; uncle, Danny Franko and 2 grandsons: Owen Sherill and Sammy Sherrill. She is also preceded in death by her father and mother in law, Oren & Alberta Stonecipher and 2 sister in laws: Evelyn Schallenberg and Lenora Mulligan.
