Charles Eugene Westerheide, 91, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, February 25, 1935, in Centerville Station, IL, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at EverVella of Swansea, IL.

Charles was a co-owner for Westerheide Sheet Metal Company. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury church. He also belonged to the Sheet Metal Local 268 Retirees. He was a fast-pitch softball player, playing over 100 games per season. He was one of the APSL-Founders of the Dyslexia Center of Southern, Illinois. He was also an Army Reserves Veteran.

Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Monsignor William McGhee officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
