Robert Wayne Clark, 77, of Collinsville, IL passed away in his home on November 1, 2026, after courageously facing ongoing health challenges.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, where he earned his teaching degree, Bob spent his professional life in education and coaching. He dedicated 33 years to teaching in the O'Fallon School District 90, spending most of his career at Fulton Junior High School, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and basketball athletes.
One of his proudest career accomplishments came in 2004 when Bob led the Fulton basketball team to the 2004 SIJHSAA Class L State Championship. This achievement was the culmination of more than three decades of coaching, dedication, and commitment to building the program. Upon his retirement, Bob continued to be an avid spectator and enjoyed watching a variety of sports, including the Chicago Cubs.
Those surviving are his two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Terry (Janice) Clark of Lemont, IL, and Larry (Kathy) Clark of Gilson, IL; four nieces and one nephew, Rachel (Adam) Keys, Jennifer (Zac) Portell, Rebekah (John) Munch, Kimberly (Kevin) Elliot, and Greg (Denee) Clark; as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clark and Bertha (Goedeke) Clark.
