Walter C. Geist, Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Born Aug. 22, 1927 in Wood River, he was a son of Walter C. Geist, Sr. and Erma (East) Geist.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Schmittling and his brother and sister-in-law Bernard and Wanda Geist, all of Roxana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Erma Catherine Geist.
Visitation will be Friday, May 25 from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m at Paynic Funeral Home
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
