Donna M. Hoehn, 78, passed away at 3:33 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born May 12, 1934 in Kane, Ill., she was a daughter of Lydle “Bill” and Mary C. (Baker) Mowrey.
She worked as a lab tech for Olin Corp. from 1960-1996, then began working at Casey’s General Store in Meadowbrook in 2001.
Donna loved spending time with her friends. She was a member of Kane Baptist Church.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Courtney Elizabeth Halford; two sisters, Peggy Tate of Calimesa, Calif. And Patricia (Gary) Scoggins of Bunker Hill; three brothers, Gary (Berdie) Mowrey of Oak Grove, Mo., Larry (Vicky) Mowrey of St. Louis, Mo., and Jerry (Lisa) Mowrey of Cuba, Mo. She is also survived by her dear friend, Terrie Skelton of Wood River and her companion dog, City Girl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Ray Halford; and a granddaughter, Tara Nichole Halford.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 at Kane Baptist Church in Kane, Ill. Pastor Chuck Keene will officiate.
Burial will follow at Kane Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the 5 A’s animal shelter.
