Anna M. Lafferty, 72, passed away on Monday June 4, 2012, at 9:55 am at St. Anthony’s Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Alton. IL on January 15, 1940 the daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Logee) Emery.
On November 5, 1954 Anna Married James Lafferty Sr. in Alton, Il. He survives.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was always foremost on her mind, and her main concern. She was the rock for her family, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, three daughters and their spouses; Vicki and Merle Neely of Girard, Il, Julie and Rick Hearn of Gillespie, Il, and Renee’ and Darin Roady of Alton, Il, three sons; James Lafferty Jr. of Carlinville, Il. Chris and his spouse Ronna Lafferty of E. Alton, Il, and Rick Lafferty of E. Alton, Il, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, two brothers and their spouses; Vester and Isolde Emery, and Dale and Judy Emery all of TX, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son; Billy Lafferty, and two grandchildren; Paul and Brandy Neely, and two brothers; Jerome and Christopher Emery.
Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton are in charge of arrangements.
