Buddy Joseph "Joey" McGee, 35, passed away December 23, 2023 at his residence.
Born May 9, 1988 in Alton, he was the son of Buddy Lee and Rachel O. (Newby) McGee.
Joey had worked as a meat cutter at various locations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his parents; a son, Hunter McGee; brother, Timothy McGee of Goose Creek, MO; two sisters, Crystal Wahl of Highland, Elizabeth Sutton of Alton; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Thursday, December 28 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday. Pastor Dave Landry and Rev. Paul Maggos will officiate.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
Memorials are suggested to Hunter McGee Educational Fund established at Busey Bank.
