Carlyene L. Crane, 87, of Columbia, Illinois passed away at 1:18 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri with her family by her side.
She was born May 6, 1938, in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of the late James Elmer and Juanita Leva (Cox) Carrow.
She married Sidney F. Crane on October 5, 2002, in Collinsville, Illinois and he passed away on May 7, 2020.
She retired from the Bank of Edwardsville after many years of dedicated service in the electronic transfer division. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. She enjoyed working with crafts, sewing and cherished her grandchildren.
Carlyene is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Tita Zweig and Terry and Cindy Zweig; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Mike Keim; seven grandchildren, Derek, Eric, Shelly, Natalee, Jimmy, Cassandra and Amanda; thirteen great-grandchildren, Julian, Ezra, Paxton, Jayce, Bryce, Madison, Mason, Lola, Grant, Trent, Hayden, Jimmy and Zariah; several great-great grandchildren; two brothers, James Carrow and Gary Carrow; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shannon Jay, Rickey and John Duncan and Debbie and Rob Zimmer; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Zweig Sr.; a daughter, Shirley Ann Zweig and three grandchildren, T.J., Jimmy and Annabella.
In celebration of her life, private family services will be held. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
