Connie Pruitt

GODFREY-  Connie Sue Pruitt, 60, died suddenly at 2:45 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at her residence.She was born in Jerseyville on Jan. 3, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Sherman & Rosaella Marie (Vinyard) Kraushaar.Connie graduated in 1971 from Jersey Community High School, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, fishing, any type of music, and camping, especially near the reservoir in White Hall.She married Joseph Pruitt on April 10, 1971 in Jerseyville, and together they have enjoyed nearly 42 years together.Surviving are her husband, Joseph Pruitt of Godfrey; a son & daughter in law,  Timothy & Carla Pruitt of Fosterburg; two grandchildren, Lauren Pruitt & Brian Pruitt; two sisters, Shirley Davidsmeyer of Carrollton and Bonnie Kinder of Golden Eagle; a brother, Sherman Kraushaar of Alton; a brother in law, Robert Pruitt of Godfrey; and many loving nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kay Pruitt; and her father in law & mother in law, Leo "Cotton" and Jessie Pruitt.Visitation will be from 1 p.m., Tuesday until time of funeral services at 3 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with the Rev. Roy Rhoads officiating.Burial will be in the Fieldon Cemetery.Memorials may be given to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital
