Diana Scoggins, 71, of Jerseyville IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 7, 2026 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 19,1954 in Carrollton, IL, Diana was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Marcella (Myers) Kuehnel. She grew up in Jerseyville, IL.
Diana shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Randall Scoggins, whom she married on September 11, 1976. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with warmth and kindness, raising their two beloved children, Tabitha and Richard, and becoming parental figures to countless others throughout the years.
For many years, Diana devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mom, providing her children with a loving environment. As her children grew, Diana worked as a cook at Dairy Queen and later at Illinois Valley Daycare. She eventually embraced the role she held most dear—caring for her grandchildren .Being a grandmother was Diana's greatest joy, and her love knew no bounds.
Diana is survived by her loving children, Tabitha and Jacob Randolph, and Richard Scoggins and his girlfriend Rachel Lamarsh, Grandkids, Joseph Randolph and his fiancé, Morgann Ramirez, and Haleigh Randolph and her fiancé Joshua Kendall, and her sister, Connie Collins, all from Jerseyville, IL.
Though we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing she is reunited with her husband, Randall, her parents, Thomas and Marcella Kuehnel, and her brother, Richard Kuehnel.
Diana's unwavering dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her life. A celebration of Diana's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the beautiful MT Gilead Cemetery in Carrollton, IL.
In honor of her legacy of nurturing children, memorial donations may be made to the "Celebration of Laughter of Children" fund at Sonshine Kids Daycare, a cause close to Diana's heart.
