Elvin “Dennis” Bingham, 76, went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2026. Dennis was surrounded by his devoted wife, Mindy, just a few days shy of their 50th wedding anniversary. Other family members and close friends were also present during the his final hours.
Dennis proudly served his country during a 20 year career in the United States Army, including two tours in Vietnam and a tour in Germany. Following his military service, he was employed by Olin Corporation, where he worked for 22 years before retiring. Dennis was a kind and gentle man who was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed a good card game with friends. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with the people he loved. His faith and church family were very important to him and were a true blessing throughout his life. He was a member of Timberlake Baptist church in Myrtle Beach SC.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Mindy (Cannon) Bingham; their son Chad Bingham, of whom he was so very proud of, Chad's wife Angie, and two grandsons, Cooper and Cohen Bingham, from Littleton, Colorado. He is also survived by a brother, Edward Bingham of Duncan Oklahoma.
Dennis will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit and for the deep love he had for his family and friends.
He will be so greatly missed.
Services will be at Timberlake Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach at 11:00 Saturday, August 29, 2026.
