James R. Williams, 72, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Wed. Jan. 29, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
He was born Apr. 4, 1952 in Louisiana, MO to the late James and Mary Ann (Taylor) Williams.
James was a USMC Vietnam combat veteran. After his military service he worked as an architect with Henderson Associates and later retired as a tanker truck driver for Pilot. He loved sports but soccer was his favorite.
He is survived by his wife: Debbie S. Williams; daughter: Daniele Williams of Collinsville; son: Matt Williams of Denver, CO; and grandson: Logan Williams.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Thomas and Christopher.
Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Mon. Feb. 10, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory.
