Joann Shirley Hall, 88, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at her home.
She was born on May 4, 1938, in Godfrey, the daughter of the late Henry and Anita (Atkins) Bock.
Joann married Richard “Dick” Hall on July 8, 1955, in Alton. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2016.
She enjoyed camping with her grandchildren, watching birds, and never missed an opportunity to get out and have some fun with the people she loved.
Joann is survived by two children, Clifford Hall of Brighton and Claudia (Jeff) Hanlon of Medora; six grandchildren, Sean Hall, Eric Hall, Edward Hall, Heather (William) Beckert, Neil (Megan) Hanlon, and Nicholas (Chansea) Hanlon; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister Alice Dunham; brother in law Clayton Hall; sister in law Judy Hall; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers; three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
