Kenneth Lee “Kenny” Gray Jr., 38, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Kenny was born on June 17, 1987, in Wood River, Illinois, and grew up in the Alton area. The role he cherished most in life was being a father. His daughters were the center of his world, and he loved spending time with them, making memories, and watching them grow.
Kenny enjoyed working with his hands, whether fixing, building, or figuring out how things worked. He also enjoyed gaming and spending time with family and friends. Those who knew him best knew that beneath everything else, he had a big heart and cared deeply for the people he loved.
Kenny’s greatest joy in life was being a father. He is survived by his wife, Caysea Gray; his daughters, Karmin Love, Hannah Gray, and Lidia Gray; his mother, Verna Gray (Findley); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lee Gray Sr., and his sister, Kory Gray.
Kenny’s memory will live on through his daughters and through the many lives he touched throughout his 38 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alton Moose Lodge 951, 526 E. Delmar Avenue, Alton, Illinois 62002.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caysea Gray and the children to help support the family during this difficult time.
