Larry D. Linenfelser, 65, passed away on Friday February 22, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
He was born on January 6, 1948 in Alton, the son of the late Alfred C. and Dorothy (Higgins) Linenfelser.
Larry served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a printer for NBS Printing Shop in Mt. Olive and retiring in 2010. Larry was a member of the American Legion Post 126. He loved playing golf and spending time with his children, grandchildren and close friends.
He is survived by four children Kelly B. Jefferson of Alton, Kimberly D. and spouse John Baker of Dow, Charles A. and spouse Anna Linenfelser of Alton, Matthew G. Linenfelser of Alton; four grandchildren Joshua Gray, Jessica Proffitt, Kali Sue Baker, Cal Linenfelser, three sisters, Carolyn Kennedy, Sandy Yates, Marilyn Blackburn, two brothers Charles Linenfelser, Mike Linenfelser and his loving significant other Mary Broadway.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Linenfelser.
Memorial Visitation will be Friday March 1, 2013 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Staten Fine Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will be March 4, 2013 at 1 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
