Laura Barber

Laura L. Barber, 74, died Friday, February 16, 2024 at Bria of Wood River.Born September 27, 1949 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Merrill L. Hall and Helen McCall.She had been an administrative assistant at Airco for several years retiring in 2014.Surviving are two sons, Phillip (Tara) Barber of Dow and Mitchell Barber of Wood River; daughter Valerie Barber of Edwardsville; four grandchildren Jackson Hallquist, Ivy Hallquist, Kristin Lewis and Jillian Barber; one great grandchild Arya Lewis and two brothers, Jack and Ralph Hall both of Wood River.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Bob Hall; and sister, Eunice St. Peters.Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:30 – 11:30 am followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am at 1st Christian Church in Wood River.Mr. Walter McCaslin will officiate.Burial will follow at a later date in Rose Lawn Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the family in care of expenses.Marks Mortuary in Wood River in charge of arrangements.
