Lois F. Pembrook, 94, of Greenfield, died Friday, January 24, at Boyd Memorial Hospital. She was born July 28, 1930, in Macoupin County to Charles C. and Hazel L. (Roller) Crouch. She married Billy L. Pembrook, January 19, 1952, in Carlinville, and he preceded her in death July 15, 2023.
Surviving are her sons, Larry L. (Cindy), of Greenfield, Randy G. (Mary Jo) of Hampstead, N.C., Steven C. (Susie) of Bunker Hill, and Michael A. (Sandy) of Greenfield, her seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Kenneth and Clay Crouch.
Lois loved her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of the Greenfield First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and served in other various roles. She made multiple mission trips to Costa Rica. She worked with her husband in the daily activities of the farm and supported her community by volunteering her time to many organizations, including serving on multiple boards. She loved following the activities of her children and grandchildren and was an avid Tiger sports fan. She enjoyed and was a member of the Friday Morning Coffee Girls. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 28, at 11 am at the First Baptist Church north of Greenfield. Visitation will be from 9 am until time of service.
