Norman "Buddy" Philip Brown, 88, of Gillespie, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center, Gillespie, IL on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10:57 am.
He was born February 9, 1937, in Wilsonville, IL to William Brown & Emma Jane Patrick Brown. He was retired after having been a laborer for Olin.
Norman was a member of the Wilsonville Progressive Club in Wilsonvile, IL. He was an avid Cubs fan. Norman enjoyed country music, race track, dog track and gambling.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Matt) Waldeck of Raymond, IL, Jackie Hendrix of Jacksonville, FL, grandsons, Michael Hendrix, Mitchell Hendrix, Steven Brown, granddaughter, Macey Waldeck, brothers, Donald (Kathy) Brown of Staunton, IL, Robert (Debra) Brown of Gillespie, IL, sisters, Patty Frensko of Benld, IL, Mary Ann Goode of Gillespie, IL, Margaret (Mike) Paddock of Bethalto, IL, Nancy (Kent) Bearden of Benld, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Brown, brothers in law, Larry Frensko and Walt Goode.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Donor's Choice.
