Patricia M. “Pat” Fitchett, 84, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Evercare of Edwardsville.
She was born January 6, 1941, in Granite City, Illinois, a daughter of the late Charles and Lorraine (Kreher) Parkinson. She married Charles Lowell Fitchett on June 11, 1961, and he passed away on September 8, 1993.
Pat had served as a cook for over 40 years, working at Holy Family School and various other establishments throughout the years. She was a longtime member of the Granite City Eagles Auxiliary #1126 and had served as president for five terms and as a state trustee. She enjoyed her days of bowling, cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Thomas Fitchett of Kirkwood, Missouri, Tricia Fitchett of Granite City and Matthew (Kayla) Fitchett of Granite City; five grandchildren, Nathan, Brett, Miranda, Henry and Dottie; four great grandchildren, Brandon, Bailee, Kameryn and Rhys; a brother, Charles (Jane) Parkinson of Granite City; two sisters, Pamela Ames of Maryville and Barbara (Gary) Goetz of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Fitchett and a grandson, Brian Fitchett.
In celebration of her life, she will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with her husband.
