Randy Charles Woolsey, 65, passed away at 2:38 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born December 2, 1959, in Alton, Illinois, the son of the late Gerald Woolsey and Adelene Walz, she survives.
Randy graduated from Jersey Community High School in 1978. He spent many years working on the barge lines and later at General Waste Services. A devoted dog lover, he had a special bond with his beloved Minnie, who surely greeted him at the gates of Heaven.
In addition to his mother, Adelene, he is survived by a son, Josh Woolsey, two grandchildren, Adrianna Wright and Bryson Woolsey; a great-grandchild due to come in October; two sisters, Kathy (Duff) Foiles and Cindy Conrad; a nephew, Jeremy (Becky) Foiles; a niece, Tiffany (Kyle) Edwards; a very special niece, Amie (Tom) Schneider, who lovingly cared for him over the past six months, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and good friends.
In addition to his father, Gerald Woolsey, Randy was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Woolsey; a brother-in-law, Steve Conrad; maternal grandparents, Hardin and Leora Armstrong, and paternal grandparents, Fredrick and Elizabeth Woolsey.
A Memorial Service will be held 6:00pm, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
