Ronald Patrick Witcher, 77, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025. Born June 14, 1947 in Alton, he was the son of Henry Patrick and Eva Marie (Behnen) Witcher.
Mr. Witcher served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Alton Golf Management at Rock Springs Golf Course at the time of his death. He retired in 2012 from Alton Parks and Recreation. He was an avid golfer and loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
On June 12, 1971 in Jerseyville, he married the former Joyce Ann Weller. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Melissa A. Witcher of Alton, one grandchild, Corey A. Tarrant, three grand dogs, and close friends, Randy Fox of Alton and Dave Gibbons of Kansas City.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” Witcher and Richard “Rick” Witcher.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course.
