Sandy Mullen Sandy L. Mullen, age 76 of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Sandy was born on January 8, 1949, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Leon and Georgia (Christner) Mullen.
She had retired from Bass-Mollett Publishers after many years. During her tenure there she did several different jobs, most recently was administrative assistant. Her summer jobs while she attended Greenville College included weekend switchboard operator at Utlaut Memorial Hospital and working in the cap and gown department of Demoulin Brothers. She later worked for Barenfanger Inc and the City of Greenville prior to working at Bass-Mollett.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, and bowling along with traveling and watching NCAA basketball and St. Louis Cardinal baseball. The highlight of her life was being an aunt. She was a visible support of her nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews in all of their activities including sports and music. Sandy was a born again Christian.
She is survived by Ron Mullen, Keith (Gladys) Mullen, and Melis (Bill) Gass. Other survivors include nephews and nieces Kyle, Erik, Megan, Brittany, Christina, Joshua, Lessy, and Anyi and great nieces and nephews, Mattox, Keagan, Ellie, Erika, Brandon, Paula, Izzy, and Melany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Georgia.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2025, with a service to follow at 11:00 at Donnell-Weigand Funeral Home in Greenville.
Private interment while follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Lewy Body Dementia Association or to the donor's choice.
