Sharren Madeline Galvan nee: Moss, 79, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care.
She was born Jan. 24, 1946 in Granite City, IL to the late John and Clara (Andrews) Moss.
Sharren was an R.N. and worked first for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Granite City and then for John Cochran V.A. Medical Center where she retired after 19 years taking care of veterans.
She is survived by her former spouse: Robert “Bob” Galvan of Collinsville; a daughter: Nichol Reeves nee: Barr of Chesterfield, MO; 2 grandchildren: Madeline and Spencer; and a great-grandchild: Dallas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Robert “Bobby” Galvan; 4 brothers: Gerald, Leonard, David and Danny Moss; and a sister: Floreane Topal.
The family will hold a celebration of Sharren’s life at a later date and she will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
