Thomas W. Bankston, 88, of Troy, IL formerly of Bettendorf, IA, born Friday, January 15, 1937, in Holland, MO and passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Litchfield Hospice and Rehab Center, Litchfield, IL.
Thomas served his country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Case Heavy Equipment as an Inspector over manufacturing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard E. and Mildred (nee Harris) Bankston; his brother, Herbert Bankston; sisters, Joanie Bankston and Marcelle Russell; brothers-in-law, Horace Fly and Henry Russell.
Surviving is his sister, Ivalynn Fly of Gallatin, TN; sister-in-law, Angela Bankston of Troy, IL; nieces and nephews, Alisa (Michael) Williams, Christina (Bobby) Schneider, Anthony (Kim) Bankston, Patty (Joe) Hernandez, Leann Carnell and Karen Russell; many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
