William Frederick “Bill” Fedak, 91, of Belleville, IL, born March 11, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, passed away on June 13, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center in Lebanon, IL.

Bill worked for the Illinois State Highway Department and proudly served his country in the United States Army. A devoted family man, he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bill was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball, professional tennis, and classic western movies. He also enjoyed listening to music, following current events, sharing stories from years gone by, and spending time outdoors. Known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, sense of humor, and kind heart, Bill was always willing to lend a helping hand and was deeply loved by those who knew him.

Bill will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the kindness and warmth he shared throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Hospice of Southern Illinois and Cedar Ridge Health Care Center whose dedication, comfort and support meant so much to dad.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Friends of Fischer House St. Louis, Gary Sinise Foundation, Heartland Hospice or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Kurrus Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
