Zola Ruth Provaznik, 86, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Born July 6, 1940 in Morristown, TN, she was a daughter of Thomas Jacob and Wilmath Tina (Johnagan) Williams.
Zola owned and operated the Tea Room in Edwardsville for 12 years. She also worked as a caregiver, and she was proud to provide home care for the Plegge’s of Bethalto.
She married David Edward Provaznik Jan. 6, 1957 in Edwardsville. He passed away Aug. 27, 1995
Survivors include her children, Debra (Brad) Sanders of Bunker Hill, David E. Provaznik, Jr. of Bethalto, and Deven “Eric” Provaznik of Moro; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a half-sister, Cathy Nevels of Rosewood Heights.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Provaznik and a brother Thomas Williams and a half-brother, Randy Williams.
According to her wishes, no services will be held. She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery near Edwardsville.
