Officer Body Cam: Downtown Alton Over the Past Year – What Happens After 1 A.M.

Following the Alton City Council’s vote on late-night liquor licenses, this body cam footage offers a look back at what downtown Alton was like after 1:00 A.M. before the earlier closing time went into effect.

Our officers were out in force-addressing disturbances, citing violators, and making arrests when needed-to keep the area safe.

Since the 1:00 A.M. closing rule was implemented, the difference has been clear. Downtown Alton is now calmer, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone.
