Stella Louise Flatt, 73, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Integrity Healthcare of Wood River.
Born in Gideon, MO on November 5, 1943, she was the daughter of Alfred William and Vice Mae (Chamberlin) McNealy.
She began her working career with Fowler's Loose Leaf Binding Company in St. Louis, went on to drive for Madison County Transit and served as a bus monitor for the Roxana School District. She was a past Vice-President of the South Roxana Dad's Club Woman's Auxiliary and Past Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of America as well as a past trustee of the Wanda Cemetery Board.
On March 26, 1963 in Izzard County, Ark, she married Donald Flatt. He survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Ricky L. Flatt of Texarkana, Ark, Michael (Tonya) Flatt of South Roxana; daughter, Jeanne K. Middleton of Breese, IL; step-daughter, Roberta "Bobbie" Lockhart of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Staci (Jacob) Militello, Laura Flatt, Michael Flatt, II, Adam Middleton, step grandchildren, Danny (Doris) Lockhart, Matt Lockhart; five great grandchildren, Braxton, Riley, Noah,Jessica and Tyler; great great grandson, Jaxon; sister, Betty Jones of Alton; sister-in-law, Audrey Price of Litchfield.
Preceding in death were her parents; two sons, Ronald A. Flatt and Randy L. Flatt; granddaughter, Megan Flatt; brother, Troy W. McNealy; and sister, Bonnie Price.
Visitation will be from 4p.m until time of service at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Rev.Michel Flatt will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the South Roxana Dad's Club or Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
