June Nikonovich

June Isabelle Nikonovich, 84, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home in Brighton. Born September 6, 1932 in Madison, IL, she was the daughter of Albert and Dovie (Smith) Graves. Mrs. Nikonovich was a financial clerk for Granite City Steel for almost 30 years, retiring in 1996. She attended the former Nameoki Presbyterian Church in Granite City. On June 30, 1950 she married Steve Nikonovich I in Madison, IL. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1979. Surviving are two sons, Steve Nikonovich II of Fosterburg and Michael Nikonovich (Lori) of Brighton. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Michael Nikonovich Jr., Christopher Nikonovich (Ashley), and Steve Nikonovich III and one great grandchild, Gracie Nikonovich. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Robert Graves and two sisters, Myrtle Cook and Katherine Pomeroy. Per her wishes there will be no services.
