Wood River
Kathleen Garner, 91, passed away 2:40 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2018 at Meridian Village Care Center in Glen Carbon.
Born on December 9, 1926 in Monticello, IL, she was the daughter of Harvey and Ella (Freeland) Austin.
A homemaker, she was an active member of the the 1st United Methodist Church in Wood River.
On February 8, 1947 in Wayne City, Kathleen married Norris L. Garner. He died June 20, 2014.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy (Robert) Prange of Edwardsville; two grandchildren, Robert (Raphaella) Prange, Erica (Tim) Dixon; great grandchildren, Robert and Suzanne Prange, Mackenzie and Isabella Dixon; brother, Lester (Marian) Austin of Rochelle, IL; and sister, Eva Gray of Wayne City.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m until time of service at 11 a.m., Friday, June 1 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Phil Garner will officiate.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
