James Henry Rehums, Jr., 77, of Moro, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 5:08 am, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born on March 14, 1947, in Granite City, IL, the son of the late James H. Rehmus, Sr. and the late Loretta (Rose) Bean. He married Linda Floyd on December 30, 1981, in Edwardsville, IL. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2017.
James was a member of the VFW of Cottage Hills. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Timothy) Sewell of Moro, and Heather Allison Rehmus of Washington; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Paul) Brinkman of Tennessee, and June Russell of Texas; a sister, Tina Myers of Granite City; a brother, Richard Alan Rose of Wood River; three grandchildren, Matthew Stroud of Highland, Scott Rehmus of Washington, and Harmonee Holt of Washington, and six additional grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Briana Rehmus, Lorelei and Killian of Washington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto has been entrusted with cremation rites, per his wishes.
