Teruko Edwards

Teruko “June” Edwards, 88, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center. Born April 1, 1929 in Karafuto, Japan she was the daughter of Tsujishiro and Shizu (Inouye) Ishimura. She married Gary I. Edwards on January 3, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2014. Surviving are two sons, Steven I. (Lisa) Edwards of Godfrey and Gregory T. Edwards, four grandchildren, Tyler Edwards, Abby (Madison) Edwards, Josie Edwards all of Godfrey and Kimber Fleming of St. Petersburg, FL. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters all of Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
