Please join us at the 22nd Annual Congressional Prayer Breakfast. This year’s breakfast will be held on Monday, May 8th, 2023 beginning at 7 a.m. at Gateway Center in Collinsville, Illinois. Started by former Congressmen John Shimkus (R) and Jerry Costello (D), this prayer breakfast has become a respected tradition in the region. A table of 8 costs $200.00; individual tickets are $25.00 each (plus eventbrite fees). We expect the business community to respond quickly making their table reservations, so we encourage you to respond promptly.

Our 2023 keynote speaker is Orvin Kimbrough. Mr. Kimbrough serves as the Chairman and CEO of Midwest BankCentre, where he helps to empower people, enable businesses and energize neighborhoods through the strength of the Bank’s financial services. Mr. Kimbrough spent nearly 20 years in leadership roles in prominent nonprofit agencies, most recently as the president and CEO of the United Way of Greater St. Louis. During his tenure as CEO, the United Way of St. Louis grew to the nation’s largest affiliate, raising nearly $80 million annually. Mr. Kimbrough is an adjunct instructor at Washington University in St. Louis teaching effective team leadership. He serves on the board of Washington University’s Olin Business School – Bauer Leadership Center, St. Louis Club, The Crossing Church, ABA (American Bankers Association) Community Bankers Council and on the board of St. Louis Regional Economic Development Alliance. Mr. Kimbrough has been married for more than 20 years. From humble beginnings, Mr. Kimbrough has more than beaten the odds.
