Nicole Lupton

Nicole Marie Lupton, 32, of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away at 9:49 a.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. 

She was born September 9, 1986 in Maywood, Illinois, a daughter of Tim B. and Kris D. (DeSalvo) Lupton of Glen Carbon.  She worked as an associate at Wal-Mart in Wood River with almost nine years of dedicated service.  Nicole was a 2005 graduate of Edwardsville High School and in 2010 graduated from Lewis and Clark Community College. 

She was a devoted member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon where she was active with the church choir and truly enjoyed caroling this year through several residential facilities.  She also enjoyed attending Ageless Grace exercise group and had served several years as a volunteer at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.  She enjoyed latch hooking, playing games and cards and working puzzles. She cherished her job, was a social butterfly, loved being with her friends and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. 

In addition to her beloved parents, she is survived by a sister, Ashleigh Lupton of Glen Carbon; grandparents, Jack Lupton of Lockport, Illinois, Frank Lenkszus of Channahon, Illinois and Marlene DeSalvo of Wellton, Arizonza; Godmother and cousin, Cindy Kolodziej of Joliet, Illinois; Godfather and uncle, Rick (Marsha) DeSalvo of Plainfield, Illinois; uncles, Dave (Gayle) Lupton of Joliet, Illinois and Steve and Nancy Lupton of Minooka, Illinois; many cousins; other extended family and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Carolyn Lenkszus, Richard DeSalvo and Lorry Lupton and an uncle, Dominic DeSalvo.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

A Funeral mass will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Patrick Gibbons as celebrant. 

Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. 

In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Church choir or to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and may be accepted at the funeral home.  www.irwinchapel.com
