Don C. Boswell, 76, passed away at 8:41 am Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 23, 1942 in Columbus, IN the son of Carl and Nell (Kyle) Boswell. Don married Joyce Perry on July 8, 1967 in Columbus, IN. She survives.
Don served his country in the United States Army.
He was active with the Alton Landmark Association, and enjoyed making wooden toys, collecting knives, as well as attending the toy tractor show. Don was a voracious reader of history. He loved Christmas and had a tradition of making wooden reindeer and sending them to children all over the United States.
Don is survived by his wife, Joyce Boswell of Alton, Il; two children, Nathan Boswell (Julia) of St. Louis County and Ann Huber (Shane) of Reynoldsburg, OH; 4 grandchildren, Liam Boswell, Kyle Huber, Aaron Huber, and Ryan Huber; two brothers, Bruce Boswell (Judy) of Normal, IL and David Boswell (Betty 'Dawn') of Bowling Green, OH; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Per Don's wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
