Debra Lee Younger, 62, of Wood River, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 in Wood River. She was born May 21, 1962 in Kirkwood, MO to Wilford “Lucky” and Sue (Rea) Younger. Debra was retired from the Department of Children and Family Services where she worked as a social worker.
Debra enjoyed music, shopping, decorating and do it your self-projects; she was a busy bee. However, what she loved most was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Amber Forgy of Wood River and Sandra Forgy of Roxana; son, Tony Younger of Collinsville; six grandchildren, Tyler, Gabriel, Aurora, Emma, Chloe and Lucy; sisters, Penny Younger of Bethalto and Julie Seibert of Virginia and a special niece and her family Amanda (Adam) Wesselman and their children Autumn and Ari.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tad Forgy and brother, Larry Younger.
