Marlin Ernest "Butch" Gruelle, Jr. 66, of Litchfield, IL, died at his residence on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 6:43 pm.
He was born April 17, 1958, in East St Louis, IL to Marlin Ernest Gruelle Sr & Mable Edrie Wells Gruelle.
He worked in maintenance in the manufacturing industry. Marlin was a veteran of the U.S. Army after having served during Vietnam. Marlin enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his dogs and was very active with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Shane Gruelle of Litchfield, IL, Shannon Becker of Litchfield, IL, grandchildren, Kristin Gruelle, Lydia Gruelle, Logan Wood, Jack Becker, Ava Becker, siblings, Connie Walker of AL, Rosemary of Litchfield, IL, Catherine (David) Wiggins of MN, Valerie Richardson of IN, Elizabeth (Howie) Robb of Patoka, IL.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Scott Gruelle.
